Khari Kill - Picture Of Selassie

First reaction: Nice!
The first track on this album, titled ‘Bird Pepper’, is a great lead-off track. After seeing Khari’s singles showing up on countless mixtapes over the past couple of years, I was definitely looking forward to a full-length release from him.  Granted, to the dedicated ‘heads’ out there, most of the tracks have been heard before.  But getting them in one place in a nice package is always nice.
Speaking of tracks I’ve heard before: track number 3: ‘Mary Grandson’.  Man, this track is still just as hot listening to it today as it was when I first heard it. This is a great example of what Khari’s capable of. Another banger on this release is track 11: ‘Jesus’. This track is on the ‘No Peace Riddim’……..tight!
There’s a couple tracks that aren’t my favorites, but overall, this is a recomendable album that stays conscious from cover to cover. Do yourself a favor; run out and pick up a copy.
