Ky-Mani Marley’s album “Radio” review…

Ky-Mani Marley-Radio

First reaction: Booo!
Man, this is a great example of when an artist has a dope voice, talent, and a name to market itself, but still comes out with a stinker. The sad thing about this album is that it’s an obvious attempt to appease the MTV and radio gods. Besides track number 5, which is titled ‘Hustler’, I don’t think I’ll be listening to this album again. The top 40 ring it’s got to it will most likely keep this one shelved.
Ok…maybe I’m being extra harsh on Ky-Mani….but after calling the track “Warriors” (off his last album; Milestone, 2004) one of the tightest tracks of 2004, I admit, I had high hopes.
If you dig radio-friendly rap and R&B, you might actually really dig this.

…it’s just not for me…

    lets be honest….
** IF ** you are a true reggae fan… and you buy this CD…
you have every right to say this…
“IT SUCKS” …. cuz it truly does.
if his last name wasn’t Marley, no one would give this album more than one spin.
