Bowling For Columbine….finally

Category: Uncategorized

Hehehe…so I finally sat down to watch Michael Moore’s film called ‘Bowling For Columbine.’  My reaction? Holy shit.  I had heard, when it first came out, how good it was and how everyone needed to see it.  Now I see why. After watching it though, I was reminded of a question that I had come up with back when Fahrenheit 9/11 came out.  Here goes:

Why is it that people who loved ‘Bowling For Columbine’ and said it was a great film/documentary, were suddenly anti-Michael Moore movies/docu-style after Fahrenheit?

I realize that a persons political perspective definitely had an impact on whether or not that person would like Fahrenheit, but to go from “loving” his documentaries to “he doesn’t make ‘documentaries’, he’s biased, and that guy sucks” seems pretty retarded.

I also thought this was an incredible movie. Some of the facts really floored me and left me very sad, but at the same time it felt good to become more aware of the reality of guns and our country. I left the movie feeling even more dissapointed in our society on the issue of violence. I have yet to see Farenheit but definitely want to after getting a tast of Michael Moore’s documentaries.
