A Cool Graffiti Movie: Clogged Caps 3…
The Video Clip I had here was messing up my whole page in various browsers, so I took it out and am putting THIS LINK instead.
I know…I’m a little late to the party, seein as how this was put out in 2004, but nevertheless, this is a cool little dealy for all the peeps out there that be diggin the graffiti art. Yes, ART. It’s 2008 and I still hear tons of people, even young people, argue that it’s graffiti and not art. And even if they admit it’s art, they won’t admit it’s a ‘fine art’. Lame. Get with the times.hehehe…a little rant about a long time gripe of mine.

Recomended Roots Reggae: Claudius Linton…

This has been on my “to do” list for a while now and finally, I’m getting it done. I got this album from Claudius Linton called “Roots Master: The Vintage Roots Reggae Singles” and was very pleasantly surprised. This album is a must have for any roots reggae lover. His voice reminds me a bit of the great Clinton Fearon (one of my all-time favorite vocalists [he used to sing with The Gladiators]), but Claudius definitely has a distinct sound. This is one of those albums that you can hit play on and enjoy from cover to cover without needing to skip anything. I wanted to take the time to bring some attention to this album since Claudius is not as well known as he should be. For more specific information about him, check out the record label’s website: SunKingRecords.com. There is plenty of good info there, that I don’t want to repeat here. But…just to add a little something, Claudius has been doing this reggae music for a long time now and used to hang with Bob Marley back in the day. Then, basically, Claudius kinda dissapeared…and now he’s back.
So, if your down with that rootical sound of great reggae bands like Culture and Burning Spear, check that site out, get your read on, and buy this album.
Peace, enjoy, lemme know what you think,

2008 And Cops Still Harassing Skateboarders…
Man, the same story as when I was skating regularly back in the 90′s. Cops with nothing to do harassing skateboarders for staying active. This dude does end up getting suspended for acting like such a jackass, but how many times does this same thing happen without a camera recording the BS? Too many.

Back from a week at sea!…

Well…I’m back. After a week at sea, eating more food than any human should reasonably be consuming each day, and drinking in the same fashion. What a wonderful week..hehehe. Lucky for me, my parents invited the family on a little Mexican cruise and paid for everything. Once again, my parents go above and beyond to be the most gracious hosts around. If you’ve never been on a cruise before, I suggest gettin to it. Basically, it’s like a Vegas casino/resort type atmosphere (with way better service) on a boat. They’ve got bars everywhere, pools, jacuzzis, games, music, shows, and FOOOD. The food has gotta be one of the biggest highlights. It’s amazing, and the wait-staff on the boats are so friggin nice, it’s amazing. One thing that’s definitely different than Vegas is the chance of hitting some aggressive sea….which we were lucky enough to have for an entire day and night. I don’t get seasick, and neither did anyone that was with us, but man, that boat was goin crazy. It was moving so much you couldn’t tell who was wasted drunk and who was stone sober because everybody was swayin. Pretty funny to watch actually.
Once we got home, I noticed that the motions of the ocean don’t leave your balance center once you hit terra firma. It’s like after a day in the waves or at an amusement park. You keep having after shocks..hehehe. So, now I’m back…and since I gained 50 pounds on the cruise…I gotta start thinking about gettin active to loose some of that “water” weight…hehehe. My first day back, I decided it’d be a bad idea to go skateboarding so I chilled. On Sunday, I figured I was cool again and went rollin around a bit. I had a pretty good day, pulling a lot of standard tricks, and getting comfortable on the board. Then….Bam!, on a shitty little 180 up a curb, I rolled my friggin ankle. Hehehe…I’ve never in my entire history of skating ever rolled an ankle on that trick. I actually kinda believed it wasn’t possible. Now here I am with a golf ball sized bump on the side of my left ankle, hobbling around the house in pain. Lesson learned.

(*not my ankle, this one is a little more dramatic)
Peace, and more posts coming soon,
