Send “Help Desk” Single-Click To Family-Friends That Need Tech Support…

Category: Uncategorized

help buttonI just had to help my Dad with his computer again, and being 8 hours away, I obviously need some way to remote desktop to his computer so that I can do the tasks, instead of talking him through everything. If the computer you’re trying to link to isn’t running xp pro, then remote desktop is kind of a pain. Also, VNC client isn’t the easiest for the computer illiterate to install and set up. So, I figured I’d recommend this little app that I use that makes it super simple for anyone with an email account to download and launch…effectively inviting tech support with a preconfigured .exe file. All you have to do is set up a simple .txt file, upload it to the Online UltraVNC SC Creator, and then email it to your friend of family member in need. They get the file from their email account and double click the helpdesk.exe file and booyow! …a connection/invite is sent to your computer and you take control.
Obviously, this is not a tutorial, just a heads up about the process. It’s pretty damn easy and works great. For those looking for an easy remote connection, this is a good one to consider.

Word up, hope this helps somebody…
