Movie: Wall-E…
Since I didn’t see this one in the theater, I had to wait for the High Definition version to come out before watching. …and after watching this, I’m glad I did. The visuals in this movie are pretty incredible. Pixar has once again outdone themselves. Plus, not only is this a visual pleasure, the storyline is great too. The animators did such a good job of expressing emotions with subtle gestures. All around this is another great animated movie that both adults and children can enjoy side by side. Some of the subtle (or not so subtle) commentary on how we’re treating our planet and where we could be headed, as far as sedentary lifestyles, is great…and scary. In today’s climate of ‘green is good’, this movie definitely takes advantage of some of our greatest fears of how this planet could end up if we don’t do something soon. And with the ever growing amount of ‘news’ regarding obesity, the movie doesn’t pull any punches while making fun of how mankind could end up.
Take my word for it, get the High Definition version of this, crank up your home theater, and enjoy. I’m already looking forward to watching this again.
