Recommended Movie: “Music Within”…

I have had this movie for quite a while and kept putting off watching it because the plot summary that I read interested me slightly, but not enough to motivate me to watch it right away. Now that I finally did sit down to watch this, I’m very glad that I did. In my opinion, this movie has a certain ‘Forest Gumpy’ type feel to it…dealing with some very serious subject matter, but all the while keeping a smart humor about it. I think that the actors (Ron Livingston, Melissa George, and Michael Sheen) did a great job as well. The movie does have some elements that are (or should be) pretty depressing and the fact that it’s based on a true story makes it all the more inspiring and amazing.
Basically, this is about an activist whose efforts eventually lead to the creation of the Americans with Disabilities Act. There were times during the movie that I think anyone with a conscience would have to be offended or pissed…it’s sometimes surprising how rediculous some people treat others.
Anyway, I can definitely recommend this movie. I thought it was a great hour and a half spent.
