This Article Will Save Your Life!…
I just spent about 20 minutes hooked on this site, so I had to rush over here and post up a link to it. There is some amazing information about the hidden crap that many chain restaurants serve to their patrons every day. This site has all kinds of good information about the nutritional value of many foods that are being served at popular restaurants; both sit-down and fast food. Some of the info is just plain shocking….or at least, to me it was. I can’t believe how bad for you some items are at these restaurants.
Take some time and browse this. There’s gotta be at least a few tidbits of info that will be relevant to your dining choices.
I guess this site has already been made popular by some talk show hosts, etc, but it was new to me, so I assume there are others out there that’ll benefit from a little point in the right direction. It’s a little scary to ‘know’ that so many restaurants serve foods that are SO bad for us. And yes, of course, it’s up to us to be aware of what we’re shoving into our faces, but many of these restaurants don’t publish nutritional values. How different do you think we’d order if that info was on the menus? I bet it’d at least make some of us think. I’d definitely prefer it to have that info in front of me when ordering. Maybe if ‘we’ knew more, we could make smarter decisions and not die of heart attacks at the rate that we do.
A couple of thoughts about the info: 1) Serving trans-fats is still legal? Um…shouldn’t ‘we’ have done something about that by now?
2) The beer section on the site is weak. As a rabid fan of IPA’s and good beer in general, I find their reviews to be quite offensive. Hehehe…but the rest of the info is good…
peace,

Wow…interesting. I will definitley be changing my order to the turkey or the skinless chicken at boston market. Yikes…the dark chicken meat with skin on has a lot of fat.
