Del The Funky Homosapien and Tame One - Parallel Uni-Verses
Del is one of only a small handful of artists that have put together an album that I actually listen to front to back. For this album he teams up with Tame One from New Jersey. Most will remember his name from the group “Artifacts” from the mid-nineties and/or with the “Leak Bros” in 2004. Del & Tame have an acute chemistry together. Best duo I’ve heard since the “Blackout” album with Method Man & Redman collaborating. Now that I think about it, the first song on this album and the 3rd song on the 2nd Blackout album (that came out earlier this year) have the same beat(?). The production on this album is done by Parallel Thought. The upright bass on track 6 and the rest of the jazzy production sound like an old Tribe jam. Del infuses lyrics about his youth on this one. I like the fact there are no skits on this album; who really listens to a skit intentionally twice anyway? It’s just eleven tracks of business. This album is by no means any instant classic like 3030, but it’s worth a listen. The repetition of the phrase “F you nephew” makes me give track 10 the “Gasface”.

I would like to hear this. I was present for the cover shoot of this album. It actually took place backstage in NY at BBKINGS for all yall. I met Parallel Thought as well and they seem to have much more to come besides this album. Look out for their work with A-plus from Heiro and many others. Parallel Thought has done albums before this but they were electronic based.
