I did give this a listen already and the shitty news is that, much like a J-Love mix, there is WAY too much lame talkin over the actual music. I’m not sure where or how Hip-Hop and Reggae DJ’s got the idea that sayin a ton of stupid shit over the mix is a good idea, but nevertheless, that shit happens quite regularly. I’ve heard many a quality mix or live session turned toilet-worthy because of this lame practice.
So…DJ’s. Pay attention. Nobody wants to hear you on the mix. A couple of small drops = good. Tryin to get mad mic time during the mix = bad. Let’s practice good mixtape practices from here on out. Ok? Cool.
