“Assemblywoman Lori Saldana, D-San Diego, has introduced legislation to allow thrashers access to public skateboard parks even if they don’t have elbow and knee pads.”

It has been tried before and didn’t get the support it needed. Despite my own mixed feelings on skateboarding in the streets vs. parks (with all the parks available they don’t want skateboarding anywhere but the parks) I think supporting this would be of benefit to all California skaters.
