‘State The Obvious’ News Anchor Competition…

May 25th, 2010 | Category: Funny/Etc.

Check out these news anchors jockey for lead in this ‘state the obvious’ competition during a high speed pursuit in Orange County:

It’s pretty funny how lame a lot of the news anchor commentary is during these live broadcasts. They have nothing to report, and nothing to add, but ‘dead air’ is bad, so they do this instead. Silly bastards…

The Story Of Stuff – Bottled Water (The Bullshit Within)…

May 24th, 2010 | Category: News

I know…learning is boring, but go ahead and give it a try anyway. Your conscience and/or kids may thank you later:

The folks at StoryofStuff.com have put out a few videos along the same lines as this one. It’s kinda strange that so many folks need to be shown stuff like this for them to have any hope of noticing something that should be common knowledge. A lot of our problem is living with blinders on…believing it’s the individual’s world. “It’s my universe, and I can do to it whatever I want.” Just hop on any freeway and you’ll see plenty of proof that a lot of folks just don’t care about anyone, but number one.
We posted a while back about the bullshit in bottled water. Check it out for more info along these lines.

peace, enjoy you’re new found cheap and delicious, safe to drink tap water.

Reggae – Naptali ‘Long Journey’ 2010…

May 21st, 2010 | Category: Reggae

Reggae - Naptali - Long Journey - 2010
Reggae artist Naptali released his album called ‘Long Journey’ in march this year (2010). It’s been a while since I gave a heads-up on a new reggae album, and this one was good enough to motivate me. Overall, you can expect a very mellow one-drop filled ride on this one. Naptali has a smooth delivery and it’s laced over smooth bass-lines and that ‘new roots’ sound that many of us dig.
He kind of reminds me of Midnite, but not in the chanting sense, just that it’s such a relaxing sound and just generally laid back vibe. Maybe a mix between Midnite and Warrior King or something. There’s 14 tracks to experience on this and some guest artists as well (Luciano, Lutan Fyah, Arofat).
All in all, it’s an album worth checking out. Be sure to peep the track “Fire Burn” too. It’s one of the more hype tracks on there…a little more upbeat tempo.
