Ice Cube is being a responsible adult and supporting his kids. Unlike other rappers who pretend they keep it hood even after they move out of the ghetto, and are making millions of dollars. Ice Cube is still a gangsta.

It’s funny how “acting like a boring old white person” = “responsible adult”. I know plenty of responsible people who’ve never gone fishin’ a day of their lives.
What makes you think “a boring old white person” can’t be gangsta? I know plenty of gangstas who fish regularly, but without stupid sell-out grins on their faces.
He looks way cooler in 2nd picture. Being a ‘gangster” looks stupid. It look like you’re trying to be something stupid while thinking you’re cool. But in the 2nd he’s digging life and that is cool. Seems like you gangsta’s got a lot more in common with goth and emo kids than cool kids.

There is no difference in either picture. Both are promoting an image he is selling as that time – first with a gangster rap album, then with a family movie. Both pictures are business. Ice Cube is a business. The aforementioned takes on him are of no value.

The fact of the matter is that N.W.A. as a group was against the role that Ice Cube is playing now so either he was being fake when he was with N.W.A. or he’s being fake now… Making money is of no consequence because he could have still been making money without selling out the way he did… I understand making a few movies for your children to see you in a different light, but its a damn sitcom now dude… To go from Gangsta Rap to everything that Gangsta Rap (N.W.A. especially) stands against is false, hypocritical, and in no way respectible… Thus, Ice Cube is a sell out.
You can never lose your hoodness no matter where you live or what other career you choose whats in the heart is what matters. He is a good businessman and has to do what he needs to take care of his family. Do you really think stuffy white collar america would let him in if he went around acting hoodish at business meetings, get real do you even know what it means to be a hood???
