Yes, you just watched Tesla Coils play the intro to 2001: A Space Odyssey. Yes it is crazy. No, you probably won’t be able to buy these at your local Walmart any time soon.
We built a Tesla Coil back in college. That thing was pretty crazy, but it was miniature compared to these big dogs. I remember how freaky they sound when you fire em up and the electricity starts jumping around. I must admit…I don’t think I’d have ever thought to turn the thing into a musical instrument…hehe.
