*First of all, I am a huge reggae fan, but I also love me some good hip-hop. The
bad thing about hip-hop is that it’s got a horrible offspring version of itself that has
taken over the major radio stations and MTV-clone video outlets. The good news
is that ‘dope’ hip-hop is still out there and is alive and well. Most folks don’t have
the time, energy, or inclination to seek the good stuff out…that’s where I come
in. This mix is composed of ill hip-hop joints that I think ‘reggae heads’ will be able
to vibe to. Prepare for smooth, jazzy beats and conscious lyrics laid down and
assembled by some truly fresh artists. Enjoy.

*Yes, Black Eyed Peas made the cut. Believe it or not, they used to be cool.
